Why Your Ungating Invoices Keep Getting Rejected

Common rejection reasons

A receipt submitted as an invoice; a business name or address that differs from Seller Central; fewer than ten units; a document older than 180 days; a supplier Amazon cannot verify; a file that has been cropped or edited. Almost every rejection is one of these six.

Documentation Designed for Amazon Compliance

Every Velomax invoice includes

Your legal business name and address as registered with us, our full supplier details, an invoice number and date, line descriptions that match the ASIN, and quantities as shipped — alongside a letter of authorization and a chain-of-custody record.

Amazon Invoice Requirements Checklist

  1. 01

    Your seller information

Legal business name and address matching Seller Central character for character, including abbreviations and suite numbers.

  2. 02

    Invoice details

An invoice number, an issue date within the last 180 days, clear line descriptions tying to the ASIN, and quantities of at least ten units per product.

  3. 03

    Supplier information

Supplier name, full address, phone number and website — enough for a reviewer to confirm the business exists.

Why Amazon Rejects Ungating Invoices (And How to Avoid It)

Business name does not match Seller Central registration

Align both records before applying. One abbreviation is enough to fail.

Invoice older than 180 days

Apply while the purchase is recent; an older invoice for the same product generally will not be accepted.

Fewer than 10 units per product

The threshold is per product, not per order. Nine units fails even on a large invoice.

Supplier not recognized as authorized

If the supplier has no verifiable presence, no formatting will rescue the document. Change supplier.

Missing supplier contact information

Name alone is not enough. Address, phone and website must all appear.

Invoice appears edited or altered

Crop nothing. Redact unit cost only, and upload the whole page so the totals still reconcile.

Invoice Questions Answered

Can I black out my unit cost?
Yes. Pricing is the one field Amazon explicitly allows you to redact. Everything else must stay visible.
How recent must the invoice be?
Within 180 days of the application in most categories, and some reviewers apply a tighter window, so apply early.
Do you issue invoices suitable for ungating?
Yes — manufacturer invoices with full supplier details, plus authorization and chain-of-custody records, attached to every order.
What if one invoice covers several products?
That is fine, and normal. Do not crop it down to one line; submit the whole document.
